Wayne Thiebaud Cakes

When a very special person in our school celebrated a big birthday, it was the perfect time to look at the artwork of Wayne Theibaud and draw some cakes and cupcakes!  We used Kwik Stix tempera paint sticks and Sharpie markers.

I’m so glad I discovered the art of @barbaragilhooly to drag me out of my post- #bridgestreetartfair slump! Her colorful #botanical paintings inspired this lesson for #gradesoneandtwo at #waitsfieldschool #kwikstix tempera sticks are perfect for getting bright colors and interesting textures into our papers.
